About us
Acoustic Collective are a group of friends who, have played either individually, in duos or in various groups over the past forty + years and are made up of: - Ann English, John Keighley, Geoff Monks. Paul Roberts, Pete Roberts, Jim Schofield, Jan and Pete Shevlin, Chris Turner, Dave and Linda Wild,
Having played together as friends over a number of years, at festivals and on trips to Dublin and Cork, and on various camping trips (the criteria being that there was a public house within staggering distance) they decided to play on a more organised basis. Acoustic Collective was born.
Acoustic Collective sing a mixture of traditional, contemporary and self penned songs.
As well as running their own folk and acoustic club in Stalybridge Cheshire, they can be seen at numerous festivals throughout the year either as part of the festival or just singing for pleasure on the fringe in a local hostelry.
Acoustic Collective come in a variety of combinations, Acoustic Festival Collective (the full Monty) and in various other combinations to suit the smaller venue.
